we all are in this period at once facing a major pandemic COVID 19 affecting the whole world and pretty much locking us for quite some time. Things can easily escalate to boredom if you are not being productive in your time. So here are some tips on how to make things interesting in this lockdown situation.

1) Pick up Gardening as a hobby.

You may not be expecting this as an option but this is one of the most readily available at your home or it is not that difficult to create or grow plants in a pot. I can understand that maybe you don't have access to soil may not have access to other materials. Honestly, you might have some waste plastic bottles why not put that waste in use. it may make you a hero to save the world from plastic contamination. Also, there are plants you can grow in water for example money plants. It is easy to grow and doesn't need high maintenance. Try checking out the post on creating a vertical garden if you gonna complain about space. You don't need to worry about fertilizers. everything you need to grow a plant is right there in your kitchen. So happy gardening.

2) Follow No Equipment Exercise.

You don't need a big gym with sophisticated equipment to keep you in shape or you don't even need a big space to exercise but yes! you do need an excuse not to exercise and screw your immune system because it seems very easy to do. There are numerous articles related to the benefits of waking up early and doing exercise. So don't expect something out of the box statement to make you motivated and exercise. Just do it! as it has an amazing amount of positive effects on your body and lifestyle. It just takes 21 days to form a habit, why not start using these days to keep your self fit and healthy.  I have a friend name, Priyanka Mehta Who is a yoga expert running a 21-day challenge. It is an interesting way to keep yourself active and healthy.

3) Meditate

If you can start allowing 7 mins of your time to meditate, remove the clutter of thoughts in your head, concentrate on breathing and take your self into the ZEN mode. God! I already feel relaxed while typing imagine how would it feel when you practice it daily. Even if you check out any superhero or an action movie there are times when the main character has to unlearn what he already knows and start building a new set of skills. In the same manner, you got to release all those thoughts so that you can be more productive or practically a JEDI.

4) READ A BOOK ( or several )

I can't emphasize the fact that this habit changed my life tenfold. Here I am not talking about fiction novels but I am emphasizing more of self-help, financial and skill development books. Someone long back gave me the advice to hop on to a train with a bag full of books and see the world like never before. I honestly didn't understand what the person wanted to communicate but as life passed by and I eventually picked a few books to cope up with things and voila! it changed my life. If you are into business than reading is a must. The greatest entrepreneurs have one thing in common their habit of processing information.

Now in the stage of lockdown, You can still access amazing books through kindle or having a monthly subscription of ebooks service and get access to this knowledge at a lesser price to compare to the hardcopy.

Just a personal favorite book you would want to start is The Power of Your Subconscious Mind by Joseph Murph. Go ahead and explore.

5) TRY AUDIBLE AUDIOBOOKS

If reading takes a toll on you then subscribe to Audiobooks. The subscription cost is far less than Netflix and will keep you hooked and develop a habit of focusing on conversations. If you notice its the same level of information just the mode of consuming it is different. Nevertheless, it's an interesting way apart from reading. Again, did I mention the money you save because of this subscription? Go ahead do it right away.

6) Organize

21 days is more than enough to get things to organize at your place. you can go into full Monica mode by arranging your spaces according to alphabetical or as per your need. Either way, it's great so don't delay just start organizing.

7) Podcast over Music.

It is difficult to make a person understand why at times you should also consider listening to the podcast than repeating the same songs and make your fellow family members bore the shit out until they shoot themselves. Do it and let me know how you felt.

the podcast is available on various platforms like apple podcast, Spotify etc. Pick one and start listening.

8) Invest in a Skill.

the best way to explain this is, you want to dance then dance, You want to sing then sing, You want to play a musical instrument that is available at home then do that, or simply wanna learn to code or want to learn photography or filmmaking. ( by the way, we are coming back with our masterclass with Nimish Bangera very soon stay tuned. ) No matter what the skill is there are countless youtube videos and online websites that help you to harness that skill to god level. Again just invest in yourself.

9) COOK

Pick up a pan, Choose a dish, See what's available and start cooking. It is no longer a gender role and on top of that, it is always an added advantage that you can cook. Once you start exploring you might find a sense of relaxation in cooking your meal. Just make sure you don't put your house on fire.

10) Netflix and chill. Be with your family.

As long as this pandemic is screwing the world. You staying at home is very important and so just catch up with all the shows and movies you missed because you were too busy in life. Just cook a meal, gather your family and watch something entertaining. Laugh with them, cry with them, Enjoy with them.

11) Indoor games.

I am not talking about PS4 or an Xbox or even your PUBG. I am talking about monopoly, chess, Ludo or card games, trump cards or even carrom. It's time to introduce our youngsters to the world of skillful and tactful gameplay. life beyond the gadgets. Where you don't need to be tech-savvy to learn to play just basic knowledge is enough. Introduce the world before the terminators took over.

12) Keep track of your spending habits.

In the times of economic crises, we are hit with the virus that has shut down businesses for weeks affecting your wallets. So why not it is time to look into your spending habits and cut off all irrational expenses to support for the upcoming weeks. Also, it is a great time to look into creating multiple sources of income opportunities. Better to prepare yourself than never. There are some apps that might help you do that. It is worth your space on your phone.

These are some ideas from my side to help you convert your boredom into productive. I hope you pick up at least one to start with and would eventually turn your time into interesting growth. If you manage to stay till the end then why not drop me a comment or email or just a text message of how you feel of the content I just presented. I know it's long but there is something or the other for everyone who is seeking.

Keep Smiling and Stay Safe.
